BOB DOWNE & LILY SAVAGE Ice Ballet (London 1995)
| Description: BOB DOWNE (the comic creation of Mark Trevorrow) spent most of the 90s based in London. His favourite collaborator there was the incredible LILY SAVAGE (Paul O'Grady's legendary, now retired, alter ego). Mark and Paul met at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival and toured Australia together in 1992. In 1993 they debuted a Torvill & Dean-style comic ice ballet routine (choreographed by Betty 'Legs' Diamond) at the London Palladium. They recreated it in December 1995 for a Live video. Look - no skates! They follow with a chat and a song - SOMETHIN' STUPID, a duet originally recorded by Frank & Nancy Sinatra. |
